"Self-reliance“ was instilled in the founder Robert Spiegel from an early age. As a child of a craftsman (his father and his grandfather were locksmiths) Robert grew up with all the advantages and disadvantages brought on by running your own business and early learned that values such as hard work, courage and passion are necessary to face even the most difficult challenges. At the same time, Robert's upbringing has certainly fanned his technical passion and helped him to seek practical solutions for problems of any kind.
Provided with these experiences and this knowledge, Robert initially bypassed a formal technical education to become a logistics manager. He eventually found his way to a technological field by studying food technology. After various positions in the food and pharmaceutical raw materials sector, he reoriented towards the energy sector. In order to formalize his business training, Robert Spiegel decided to add a sound economic base to his technical knowledge by acquiring a MBA (both in Durham, England and Paris, France).
After receiving his degree, he held various management positions including companies in the mechanical engineering industry. At the same time, Robert started to establish himself as a consultant.
As a consequence of his upbringing and his early career path, Robert Spiegel decided in 2009 to establish a consulting firm targeted especially for companies in the raw materials and the engineering sector, and led it in 2014 in its current form, a GmbH & Co. KG, now with three full-time employed consultants for project management.
A passionate and always solution-oriented approach are the basic tenets of Spiegel Technology Consult and represent one of the cornerstones of our team, an approach to projects with expertise, commitment and an extraordinary determination to succeed.
Today we work with three employees and an extensive network of consultants and specialists that we call upon for individual projects on demand. Particularly, our clients are companies in the engineering industry, the food/feed, cosmetics, chemical and pharmaceutical sector and related areas such as energy and biotechnology among others.
